Adıyaman, whose name is more known for Mount Nemrut and its surroundings, is a quiet central city that is not very touristic. Therefore, we can say that the surrounding cities such as Gaziantep and Şanlıurfa have relatively cheaper accommodation and eating and drinking facilities. In the center, the Grand Mosque, the Abuzer Gaffari Shrine, the Mor Paulus Church and the Adıyaman Museum are among the top places to visit, while in the surrounding districts, stops such as the Besni drinking, the Perre Ancient City and the Arsemia weaving place can be visited. Of course, the most important stop to come to Adıyaman is Mount Nemrut, which is not to be missed. Although Mount Nemrut and its surroundings are very touristic, there are no facilities, although it was declared a National Park in 1988 and received the Golden Apple Award, the Oscar for Tourism. You can climb Mount Nemrut on your own, as well as participate in different concept tours organized from Adıyaman.
