Trabzon is a city in the Eastern Black Sea part of the Black Sea Region. It is located between the Black Sea coast and the Zigana Mountains. To the west is Giresun, to the south are Gümüşhane and Bayburt, and to the east is Rize. Located in the Eastern Black Sea Region, Trabzon is located at the beginning of the Caucasus and the Iranian transit route. It is connected to the ports of other countries bordering the Black Sea.
