The Serbian Orthodox Church of Ružica is the only temple within the walls of Belgrade Castle today. It was built in 1867. Initially, it served as a military temple. Later, the church was reshaped from an Austrian gunpowder depot built in the first half of the 8th century. The church was remodeled from an Austrian gunpowder depot built in the first half of the 20th century.

The church was remodeled from an Austrian gunpowder depot built in the first half of the 20th century. During the remodeling of the structure, a bell tower was erected and an altar apse was added. According to popular belief, there was a church with the same name on this site in the Middle Ages, but there is no evidence for this.

İlk gittiğimiz gün bulamadık sırf burası için son gün tekrar gittik ve gerçekten belkide Belgraddaki en eski kilise mutlaka gidilmeli ,kalemeydan teras cafe yüzünden o tarafa gitmemiştik meğersem ordanda yolu varmış keşe bir tabela bir uyarı levhası olsaydı
