Festival of the Sümela Cultural Road
Sümela Cultural Road Festival, as one of the most important cultural and art events in Turkey, took its place among the stops of the Turkey Cultural Road Festival in 2023. The festival was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Trabzon between October 9 and 17. The name of the festival comes from the Sümela Monastery, which was reopened to the public last year after restoration. The festival was held with the aim of promoting the historical, natural and cultural riches of Trabzon, bringing together thousands of artists and art lovers from different branches of art and increasing the vitality of the region.
During the festival, about 500 events were held in more than 30 locations.
