Toprakkale Castle is on the border of Toprakkale district and is at the intersection of the roads of Osmaniye, Adana and İskenderun. The history of the castle dates back to 2000 BC. The castle was named Kınık Kalesi during the Ottoman period.

The castle, built on a steep hill, was rebuilt with black stones in the 8th century during the reign of the Abbasid Caliph Harun Rashid. The rectangular castle has 12 towers and outer courtyard walls.
The castle, which is open to visitors, has been illuminated at night and landscaped.
