About Hagia Triada Greek Orthodox Church, Hagia Triada is a Greek Orthodox Church opened in 1880 by Kadıköy Metropolitan Yermenos and Patriarch Ioakim III. Dedicated to the Holy Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), this historic building offers a unique combination of Neo Renaissance and Neo Byzantine architectural styles. The architects of the church are G. Zahariadis and Belissarios and it belongs to the periods of two sultans, Sultan Abdulaziz II and Abdulhamid II. The church, built in the form of a domed cross, has two bell towers that can be seen even from Taksim Square. Although domed churches were not common during the Ottoman period, this church was built under the influence of the 1856 Reform Edict, challenging this understanding. Çok güzel bir yer tarihi ve bahçesi harika kilisenin ve daha fazla kısmın ziyarete açık olmasını isterdim. Ne yazık ki insanlar fazlasıyla saygısız olduğu için çok küçük bir kısmını ziyaret edebiliyorsunuz. Yine de görmeye değer. Bahçesinde çeşitli bitkiler ve hayvanlar var ben gittiğimde bir tavuskuşu ağacın üstüne çıkmıştı, ilginçti. Ancak içeriye kısa şortla girmek yasakmış kapıda yazıyor. Eğer şortla geldiyseniz belinize bir şey bağlayarak girebilirsiniz. Günümüzde hala eğitim veren ve her gün ayinlerin yapıldığı, yurt dışından gelen öğrencilerin eğitim gördüğü bu yer görüşmeye değer bence.

İstiklal Caddesinde çok bilinmeyen ama büyük ve eski bir kilise. 1880 yılında yapılmış bir yapı. Diğer kiliseler gibi sürekli ziyaretçi kabul etmiyor. Belirli saatleri var ama sanırım biraz sizi gözlemleyip içeri alabiliyorlar. Bize önce kapalı bir saat sonra açılacak dediler sonra ortalık biraz sakinleşince güleryüzle içeri davet ettiler. Ortodoks kiliselerinin görkemli yapısı içeri de kendini hissettiriyor. Güzel ve bakımlı. İçeri de sakin bir şekilde gezebilme imkanı bulduğumuz için kilisenin o manevi havasını daha güzel hissedebiliyorsunuz.

Etkileyici bir kilise. Gittiğimizde görevli saat 17.00'dan sonra ziyaret edebileceğimizi söyledi ama yabancı uyruklu ziyaretçiler (müslüman olan yabancılar) girince biz neden giremiyoruz diye sorduk. Siz de girin bari diyerek bizi de içeri soktu. Kendi de ne yaptığını bilmiyor. Kapıdan geri dönmeyin.

Oldukça hayal kırıklığı. Benden önce yazanlar da olmuş, oldukça enteresan bir ziyaretçi politikaları var. Bu benim buraya üçüncü gelişim ve yine iç kısmı ziyaret edemedim. Efendim kaplıymış.. E hani 17:00'de açılıyordu? Hayır efendim, 17 değil, 16:00-16:30 arası açığız, dua saati pazar günü hariç böyle. Dus saatinde gelip ziyaret edebiliyorsunuz. Pazar günü de saat 09:00-12:00 arası. Anlaşılır gibi değil.. Ortodoks ibadethanelere ait bir uygulama mı diye düşüneceğim ama değil, birçok ortodoks mekan ziyaret ettim, hiç böylesi bir durumla karşılaşmadım.

Önünden kaç kez geçtim, bugüne kadar neden gitmedim bilmiyorum. Papaz o gün gelmediği için kilise kapalıydı. Görevliden dua için izin isteyip içeriye girdim. Işıklar açık değildi ama atmosferi güzeldi. Kapıdaki görevli de çok kibar biriydi.
