Kayseri Seyyid Burhaneddin Cemetery and Mausoleum
Seyid Burhaneddin Cemetery, the second largest Turkish and Muslim cemetery in Anatolia after Ahlat Cemetery in Bitlis, is located just behind the Kayseri Archaeological Museum, a little further from Kayseri Castle. The Tomb of Syed Burhaneddin in the cemetery, which has a rather modest stance in the bustle of the city center, is a square-shaped tomb made of cut stone, covered with a dome. The Tomb of Seyyid Burhaneddin, built in 1894 by the Governor of Ankara Abidin Pasha in memory of Seyyid Burhaneddin, who was the teacher of Mevlana for 9 years and is considered the spiritual architect of Kayseri, awaits its guests for a peaceful visit.
