In the village of Karakent, which is attached to the Burdur headquarters, there is a wonderful initiative called Lisinia Nature. In ancient times, Lisinia was the name of an important city in the region immediately on the shores of Lake Burdur. It means the rising and setting of the sun, the moonlight in the water. Lisinia was founded by the volunteer veterinarian Öztürk Sarıca specifically for the purpose of raising awareness against cancer. It's also a wildlife rehabilitation center, and its expenses are covered by the proceeds from the oil and water extraction of naturally produced products. If you want, you can come to the center, which is a volunteer work camp, and you can contribute.
