Lower the holes.
To the west of the district center of Çemişgezek there are about 20 rooms carved for residential purposes into the steep limestone rocks that extend upwards from the Tahar River Valley. It is not known by whom the holes were made. It consists of three floors of rooms in a row and long corridors with large windows that illuminate these rooms. Some of these rooms have flat ceilings, while others are shaped like tonsils. The room at the top of these rooms, which is more difficult to access and larger than the others, is called the "Grand Room".
