For exactly 4,115 years, the centuries-old badger tree in Alaply County, Zonguldak, has been in the prime of its life, contrary to what you might think. Considered the oldest known tree in Anatolia and one of the five oldest trees in the world, the badger tree stands out for its splendor and upright stance. The badger tree, which is thought to have been here since the Bronze Age, has been described as 'living history'. The tree, which is among the sights to be seen in Zonguldak, is expected to live for at least another 4,000 years if it is not hacked.
