The Kızılırmak Delta, located 30 kilometers from Samsun, is one of the largest deltas in Turkey. The rainforests in the Delta are deciduous forests whose base is completely covered with water in the spring. The Red River Delta is included in the provisional list of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites. Located on the border of Samsun's Bafra and May 19 districts, the Kızılırmak Delta Bird Paradise is a unique route for those who love to be in touch with nature. During nature walks, which you can start early in the morning, you can encounter many endemic plant species and different bird species. You can also watch the year-old horses from the watchtowers.
