It's estimated to have been made in the 19th century. It is considered to be one of the most important works reflecting the architecture of the capital of the Byzantine period and was built by two Byzantine emperors as a place of dedication. Despite having a solid structure, the three-legged church, which is unique in that it does not contain any other historical relics in its vicinity, has now been demolished except for its columns. The Three-legged Church, the first and only church in Turkey to be built entirely of brick, is seen as an important historical monument bearing traces of the past.
