Türkiye'de görülmesi gereken ilk 10 ören yerinden olduğunu düşünüyorum. Kütahya İli, Çavdarhisar İlçesi sınırları içersisinde yer alan Aizanoi Antik Kenti, Zeus Tapınağı, Stadyum- Tiyatro Kompleksi ve Macellumu ile Roma Döneminin en önemli kentlerinden. Bir tepe üzerine kurulmuş olan ve şehrin önemli dinsel yapısı olarak görülen Zeus Tapınağı dünyanın en iyi korunmuş Zeus Tapınaklarından. Tapınağın altında muhteşem bir depo alanı (tapınak rahiplerinin kullandığı ifade edilen) bulunmakta. Şehrin kuzeyinde 13.500 kişi kapasiteli Stadyum ve 20.000 kişi kapasiteli Tiyatronun bir kompleks şeklinde yapılması antik dönemde Aizanoi’den başka hiçbir yerde görülmemekte. Bir tepe üzerine kurulmuş olan ve şehrin önemli dinsel yapısı olarak görülen Zeus Tapınağı dünyanın en iyi korunmuş Zeus Tapınaklarından. Onlarca antik kente sahip bu topraklarda, meraklısının mutlaka görmesi gereken bir yer. Müze girişi çok nezih düzenlenmiş. Antik köprüleri, pırıl pırıl akan deresi , Zeus tapınağı, tapınağın alt kısmında ne amaçla yapıldığı halen tartışmalı olan ve insanı bugün bile bir garip hissettiren kısım, tiyatrosu ile sırt sırta vermiş hipodromu ile muhteşem bir kent Etrafındaki köy evlerinin eski ,viran durumda oluşunun nedeni , 70'li yıllardaki depremden sonra burada ikamet eden insanların peyderpey yeni yapılan konutlara taşınmış olması .Çok da takılmayın derim.Borsa'nın yanındaki camiin köşesinde suyu lezzetli bir çeşme var , tavsiye ederim. Borsa ve sütunlu caddeyi görmeden geçmeyin.

Dünyanın en eski yerleşim yerlerinden biri olan antik kent malesef az bilinen bir bölgede ve yeterince tanıtımı yapılmamakta. Antik dönemde bilinen en eski tiyatroya sahip olan kent içerisinde yer alan Zeus Altarı ise muhteşem bir görünüme sahip. Fırsatınız olursa uğramanızı tavsiye ederim. Tapınak, hamam ve tiyatro gezisi için 3 saat ayırmanız ve rahat ayakkabılar giymenizi tavsiye ederim.

Dünyanın ilk borsasının olduğu, bir tarafında Zeus tapınağı, diğer tarafında ise antik tiyatronun bulunduğu, her yerinden tarih fışkıran tarihi bir yer. Kütahya'nın Çavdarhisar ilçesinin sınırları içerisinde yer alıyor. Mutlaka gezilmesi ve görülmesi gereken yerlerden bir tanesi diyebilirim. Geç te olsa turizme kazandırılma çalışmaları başlatılmış.
