The castle of Şebinkarahisar
Şebinkarahisar is located on a hill, also known as Pilgrim's Rock, north of the district center. There is not much information about the date of manufacture and who ordered it. It is known that the castle, which is thought to have stood before the Roman period, was built by the Mengüceks after it passed into the hands of the Turks. After entering Ottoman rule, the entrance gate and wall additions were made, which have survived to the present day. The castle suffered a lot of damage during the Armenian uprising. Nevertheless, it still retains its splendor and beauty.
