The Castle of the Apple

Although it is not known when or by whom the Almalık Fortress was built, it is clearly visible from the Sea of Marmara, although it is not visible from the village where it is located. Due to its location, it is thought to have been built to be able to easily observe the roads around the castle. Unfortunately, today it is completely in ruins, except for a section of the southern gate and a few of the western towers. If you are a trekking enthusiast, you can use the route that starts from Apple Village and goes all the way to Apple Castle.
