With two major universities and a rich history, Eskişehir is a city that has become famous as the European city in Anatolia for the work it has done in recent years. Its cultural richness encompasses both the past and the present.

The two major universities must be counted as the most important factor shaping Eskişehir. The more than 30,000 students who study at these universities also make a great contribution to the social and cultural vitality of Eskişehir. We must also say that organizations such as concerts for students continuing their education play an important role in this situation. A young and dynamic population naturally revives social life as well. This is the reason why the streets of Eskisehir, as well as the cafes, cinemas and theatres, are constantly crowded.

In addition to the education they provide, another contribution of the universities to Eskişehir comes from the fact that they form the center of cultural activities and artistic activities. A large number of exhibitions, theatres and concerts are organized within the university every year. In addition to the concerts that appeal to all tastes, the Eskişehir Festival, which attracts hundreds of artists, is also organized by the students and the people of Eskişehir.

The most lively and even life-giving place in Eskisehir is undoubtedly Porsuk and its surroundings. If you want, you can take a boat tour of Porsuk, or you can enjoy a drink in one of the cafes on either side of the river and get rid of all the fatigue of the day.

In addition to a pond for water sports and other activities, another place we can recommend that you visit is the Science, Art, and Culture Park, which is sure to appeal to children.
