It's on top of Monastery Hill. This monastery was founded on the site of the Byzantine monastery of the same name. Some architectural parts of this monastery are located inside the katholikon, that is, the monastery of monks, while others are spread out over the land. After the Turkish conquest, the monastery began to fall into disrepair, but then in 1722, a group of wealthy Greek merchants from Sakizada, who did business in Istanbul, undertook a complete restoration. These merchants had a new church built on the site of the Byzantine catholicon and added a chapel dedicated to Saint Paraskevi. The iconostasis and the episcopal throne are beautiful works of woodcarving. The Byzantine icons in the original catholicon are preserved in the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in Istanbul. The icons of the current church are of Russian manufacture and were built in 1723 by Patrick III. Jeremias was sent by Tsar Peter the Great.

Bahar günleri ayrı bir güzel Kınalıada. Ada çevresinde gezinmek harika deniz sezonu yavaştan açılmaya başlamış Haziran Temmuz aylarında mutlaka denize girmeye gidilmeli🏝🐛🪺

Gezi amaçlı ziyaret ediliyor mu? Soracak kimseyi de bulamadık. Adanın hakim tepesine kurulmuş, stratejik bir mekan.

Manastır tepesini gezip resimleyebildim sadece, Manastır içine hiç giremedim 60 yıllık adalı olduğum halde! Girenler fotoğraflamis ve iyi yapmış. O tepe bir bütündür.

Kınalıadanın tepesinde okula benzer büyük bir manastır. Manastırın içine ziyaret yalnızca Cuma günleri oluyormuş bilginize.Oraya kadar çıkmışken görülmeli.Tarihi manastır tepeye şüphesiz bir anlam katıyor.
