The fountain of the famous Ottoman vizier Mehmed Pasha of Sokol is the only one in Belgrade. The fountain is located next to the Dizdar Gate in the Upper City. This part of the castle looks completely different when the fountain was built between 1576 and 1577. For this reason, the fountain remained under the bridge leading to the main gate of the inner castle for a long time.
