Adana'daki tarihi yapılar denince Taşköprü ile beraber ilk akla gelenlerden. Tarihi kazancılar çarşısınin yanındadır.Karşısında çarşı hamamı bulunuyor. İrili ufaklı birçok dükkan, toptancı ve Adananın lezzetli kebapçılarınin içindedir.Restore edilip düzenlemeler yapıldı ama trafiğe kapatılmalı o çevre. Kitabı bilgileri de veriyorum: Büyük Saat Kulesi, Adana ili, tarihi Kazancılar Çarşısı Ali Münif Caddesi üzerinde bulunmaktadır. Eski Adana merkez olarak kabul edilen yerin göbeğindedir. 1881 yılında zamanın Adana Valisi Ziya Paşa tarafından yapımına başlanmıştır. 1882 yılında yerine gelen Vali Abidin Paşa tarafından tamamlanmıştır. Büyük Saat Kulesi, kesme taştan yapılmıştır. Büyük Saat Kulesi, tarihte modernleşmenin simgesi olarak görülmüştür.

Adana Büyük Saat Kulesi Seyhan ilçesi Ali Münif Caddesi üzerinde bulunmaktadır. 1881 yılında Vali Ziya Paşa tarafından yapımına başlanmıştır. 1882 yılında Vali Abidin Paşa tarafından tamamlattırılmıştır. Kule kesme taştan yapılmıştır. Uzunluğu 32 metre olan kule kare prizma şeklindedir ve kulenin duvarları tuğla ile inşa edilmiştir. Temel derinliğinin 35 metre olduğu söylenir. Saat kulesi dikdörtgen şeklinde taş tuğlalardan yapılmıştır. Kulenin inşası sırasında Osmanlı'da değişik illerde saat kuleleri vardı. Bu saat kuleleri arasında en uzunu Büyük Saat'tir. İkincisi ise Dolmabahçe Saat Kulesi’dir. Örme işlemi oldukça zor olan küçük taş tuğlalardan imal edilmiş ve yapımından uzun bir süre sonra Almanya’dan özel olarak saat makinesi getirilmiştir. Ben Büyük Saat'e bisikletle gittim.O yüzden yolda pek bir kalabalık yaşamadım ama araba ya da motorla gidecekseniz kalabalık ona göre tedbirinizi alın orada bir de Tarihi Kazancılar Çarşısı da var orasıda güzel bir yer ben eğlendim umarım gidenlerde eğlenir ve mutlu olurlar

Osmanlı Dönemi’nde yaptırılan en yüksek saat kulesi olma özelliğini de taşıyan Büyük Saat, Adana’nın en önemli tarihi mekânları arasında yer alıyor. Büyük Saat, Türkiye’deki en uzun saat kulesidir ve uzunluğu 32 metredir. Tarihi Büyük Saat inşasına, 1879’da Vali Ziya Paşa ile başlanmış ve 1882’de Vali Abidin Paşa zamanında başarıyla tamamlanmıştır. Büyük Saat tarihte modernleşmenin simgesi olarak görülmüştür. Büyük Saat şehir merkezinde, Ali Münif Caddesi üzerinde, Adana’nın Taş Köprü ve Ulu Camii’nden sonra ilk akla gelen simgesi olarak dimdik ayakta durmaktadır. Büyük Saat’in mimari tarzı, kare prizma şeklindedir ve kulenin duvarları tuğla ile inşa edilmiştir. Temel derinliği 35 metre olduğu söylenir. Kulenin inşası sırasında Osmanlı’da saat kuleleri bulunmaktaymış ve kuleler arasında en uzunu Büyük Saat, ikincisi ise Dolmabahçe Saat Kulesi olarak belirlenmiş. Uzun yılların etkisi ve bakımındaki aksaklıklar sonucu çalışmayı bırakan saat, 2014’te restore ile tamir edilmiş. Saat kulesi her saat başı, vakit belirleyen güçlü sesi ile Adana’nın birçok yerinden duyuluyor. Adana’da inşa edildiği ilk dönemde resmi dairelerdeki görevlilerle vatandaşların mesailerini bu saate göre ayarladıkları biliniyor.
