Today's historical fabric of Alaçati dates back to the 1800s. At that time, the population of Alachat was largely made up of Greeks, so the influence of Greek architecture is seen in the buildings. The houses are built in a typical domed and two-story way. The colorful doors facing the street and the houses with large gardens and courtyards behind them turn the main streets of Alaçatı ⁇ into a visual feast. The stones extracted from the quarries in the area, known as "Alachati Taşı", were used in the construction of houses and buildings. These stones keep the houses cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
