The Kars Stone Bridge
The Kars Stone Bridge
The Kars Stone Bridge was built in 1579 by the Ottoman Emperor III. It was built on the Kars River by order of Murat.
As a result of various damages, some of the legs of the 54-meter-long bridge collapsed, but in 1725 it was rebuilt by Karahanoğlu Hacı Ebubekir.
This structure, which is among the sights in the city center of Kars, has preserved its importance since history and is actively used today.
