The Long Valley

Uzungöl, a tourist neighborhood attached to the Chaikara district, takes its name from the lake on its shore. This place, formed by the closure of the Haldizen River, is visited by thousands of local and foreign tourists every year. Uzungöl, located at a distance of 99 km from Trabzon and 19 km from Çaykara, is one of the essential points of the Black Sea tour with its natural beauty. Uzungöl, the rainforest region of Turkey, has a very large and rich vegetation. The area of 1,625 hectares, where the local wildlife is located, was designated as a nature park in 1989.
