The Tomb of the Fallen Pasha
The Tomb of the Fallen Pasha
Kırşehir Aşık Paşa Mausoleum is located inside the Aşık Paşa cemetery in the center of Kırşehir. The tomb is always open.
General features of the tomb
The mausoleum, dated to 1333, is made entirely of marble and differs from Seljuk architecture by its asymmetrical long facade, Kyrgyz tent-like dome, narrow and long portal taken to the side. In his book, it's framed very differently by the slanted erases that make the indentation in front of the dome. Around the oyster niche in the portal, surrounded by an embroidery of knitted motifs, a single window with a pointed arched front opens in the middle of the flat front, low. The Tomb of Love Pasha is the work of a different architectural concept that avoids symmetry. Central Asia is a valuable example of Turkish-Islamic building art in Anatolia with its characteristics linked to ancient Turkish traditions.
