The Water Cave
The Water Cave
Sulu Cave is a semi-natural-semi-artificial cave located in Kırıkkale, Keskin district, at the site of Arzu Bayırı. The cave, which was used as a mining gallery in ancient times, is now one of the natural tourism spots.
Marble is found in one part of the cave, which has a total length of 285 meters, and mudstone and sandstone in the other part. The narrow passages in the cave, connecting the natural and artificial parts, are lined with stone walls made in the early Christian period.
The Sulu Cave Emergency Intervention Practice was completed and opened to visitors by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2019. It serves as a museum attached to the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations.
