This area, which has a variety of ecological habitats such as marshes, open water surfaces, marshes and mud flats, is home to a variety of animal species, mainly water birds.

The water birds around Lake Efteni form the most important fauna elements in the region. In total, there are 150 different species of birds in the lake, and 35 of them are permanent birds. Seagulls, wild ducks, white-tailed deer, swans, and swans are among the lake's common bird species. Lake Efteni, an important accommodation and feeding area on the migratory routes of birds, is a wintering area for some migratory birds that live in Europe, but cannot land south, especially in winter. It is also a breeding ground for some bird species. Therefore, a large number of birds of various species can be observed during the migratory season. Other bird species found in the Lake Efteni reserve include the endangered swan, the turna, the mezgeldek, the toy, the Siberian goose, the small carabatak, the bazaar, the caterpillar, the spoonbill, and the potentially threatened species of greenhead, fiyu, becri, caterpillar, mazar, rustleaf and apple.

Around the lake there is a viewing terrace for bird species. Lake Efteni offers a beautiful composition for photography and bird watching, hiding the birds with lily flowers and reed beds outside the water level. In addition, Lake Efteni is home to rare plant species. Five different plant belts are found in the mountainous area south of the Lakes Wildlife Reserve. In addition to plants such as lily of the valley, lily of the valley, wedding flowers, reed, mint, and water lily, there are also trees of a watery character, such as willow, willow, maple, and willow.

Nilüferleriyle ünlü bir göl ama nilüfer görmek için ilkbaharda gitmek gerekiyor. Bizim gittiğimizde sadece kuru sazlık vardı. Kuleye çıktığınızda manzara güzel. Kulenin altında belediyeye ait ufak bir sosyal tesis var; burada çay içip tost yiyebilirsiniz; fiyatlar makul (tost 15 TL, çay 5 TL). Otopark sıkıntısı yok.

Çok güzel ve sessiz bir yer. Gölde çok fazla sazlık ve bitkiler var, iskeleden çok iyi görülmüyor. Seyir kulesine çıkarsanız manzarası çok hoş.

Biz gittiğimiz de iskele yağışlardan oldukça etkilenmişti. Öyle uzaktan bakıp çay içip esas planladığımız rotaya devam ettik. Gözlem kulesi insanlar eğilip bükülüp eziyet çeksin diyerek tasarlanmış gibiydi. Belki bir tadilatla düzeltilebilir.

Suyunun bu denli çekilmiş olduğunu gördüğümde gerçekten içim burkuldu.. Sessizliği birbirine karışan kur yapan kurbağalar ile kuş surulerinin bozduğu, iskelesinde dinginlik tadını çıkartıp sansiniza niluferlerde acmissa gözünüze gönlünüze ziyafet.. Kuş gözlem kulesi maalesef kapalı olduğu için çıkamadım, bir sonraki Düzce ziyaretinde umarım...

Göl bildiğiniz göllerden değil. Saz, nilüfer ve su bitkilerle kaplı. İçinde çok sayıda kuş türü barındırıyor. Kuş gözlemcileri için güzel bir yer. Etrafının biraz rekreasyon açısından düzeltilmesi gerek
