This is Long Market Street.
The history of Long Bazaar Street, an important center of tolerance between the mosque, church and synagogue trio, is at least as old as the city, and you can find the execution of every profession from traditional handicrafts to food to clothing to tin-making. It continues to the Municipal Square, where the statue of Atatürk is located, and forms a harmony with the street to which it is connected. Each street is reserved for a different occupational group. Certain branches of business continue to be maintained by Antiochans of different faiths and backgrounds. With this business section, reminiscent of the organization of the lounge from the Ottoman period, guests can leave the incense market and head to the handicraft market. From there you can go to the merchants' market and the weavers' market. By the way, don't come back until you've got the pomegranate sauce, the pepper sauce, the tomato sauce, the crushed green olives, the salted yogurt, the Antikythera cheeses (flat, tongue, knitted, gravy), the fresh pecan.
