Camii ,Emirgan Boyacıköy Caddesi ile Doğru Muvakkithane Sokağı’nın köşesinde, Emirgan iskelesinin karşısında yer alır. Yapı, ana kapısı üzerindeki kitabeye göre 1779–1780 yıllarında I. Abdülhamit tarafından, şehzedelerinden Mehmet ve onun annesi Hümaşah Hatun için yaptırılmıştır. 1838’de II. Mahmut tarafından onartılan cami, kesme taştan, tek minareli, kiremit örtülü bir yapıdır. Caminin bitişiğindeki Hünkar Dairesi karşısında,1783 yılına ait Emirgan Çeşmesi bulunmaktadır.

İstanbul Boğazı'nın hemen kıyısında yer alan Emirgan Hamid-i Evvel Camii 1781 yılında I. Abdülhamit tarafından erken yaşta ölen şehzedelerinden Mehmed ve onun annesi Hümâşah Hatun için yaptırılmıştır. Kesme taştan ve kare planlı, ahşap çatılı olarak inşa edilen caminin duvarlarında iki sıra halinde yapılan geniş pencereler ile içerisi oldukça aydınlıktır. Silindirik gövdeli, tek şerefeli minare, giriş cephesinin sağ köşesinde yer almaktadır.

Köy camisi gibi ufak ve kubbesiz ama şirin bir cami. Emirhan Korusu’nun hemen aşağısında sahilde yer alıyor. Kendine göre oldukça büyük bir bahçesi ve şadırvanı var. Camiinin yanında ise müftülük yer alıyor. Hayırsever bir catandaş tarafından 1997 yılında restore ve ihya edilmiş.
