Monument to the earthquake
The Yalova Earthquake Monument, also known as the 17 August 1999 Earthquake Monument, is a memorial built to commemorate the people who lost their lives in the 1999 Izmit earthquake. The monument, located in August 17 Park in Yalova, was opened on August 17, 2000, the first anniversary of the earthquake.
