The Church of Rabat
The village of Bulanık, 17 kilometers from Ardanuç County, is located in the neighborhood of Çamlık (Rabat). The structure is similar to the local churches. It is estimated that it was built by the Bagratli Kingdom, which ruled the region during the Middle Ages. In medieval architecture, triangular niches were especially used, reflecting the interior plan to the outside. Triangular niches are rarely used in the dome casement in regional architecture. The number of niches exceeds the number of window openings in this church. On both faces there are carving stones with embossed plant motifs.
