The Fortress of Amini
It is built on a high rock at the confluence of two branches of the Dicle River, 5 km from the district center. Three sides of the castle are high and difficult to cross rocks. There's only one entrance door on one side. From the castle there is a path down to the river Dicle. In some Assyro-Syrian sources, the castle of Yamani is also named as the castle of Zishat. The learned historian Joshua wrote that in 502 C.E., this fortress was occupied by the Persian ruler II. He writes that it was taken by Shapur and its inhabitants were put to the sword, the castle was destroyed and no one ever lived here again.
