The island is in Lake Van, about four kilometers from the coast. It's in the open. It is accessed by boats departing from Gevaş Pier. Gevaş Pier, 50 km from the center of Van. It's in the distance. If you come by van, after passing through Gevaş County, you will reach Akdamar Pier. But when it comes to any wind and wave conditions on the lake, transportation to the island is disrupted. So before you go, we suggest you call the dock area and ask if there's access to the island.
