The Kura River

The Kura River, which flows into the Caspian Sea after passing through many provinces and countries, is one of the longest rivers in the world with a length of 1515 km. The name Kür or Gür is used in some sources for the entire river. Kura enters the narrow and deep Turkeşen Gorge, known by the old name of Yiğitkonağı Village in the northwest of the Lake Plain, and connects the Lake and Ardahan plains. When you arrive in Ardahan, you can also fish while sipping your tea overlooking the river.
