Karadeniz yoluna 10 dakika mesafede görülmesi gereken bir müze iki alandan oluşuyor antik kent tarafı açık alanda. Kapalı alanda ise Hititlere ait eserler sergileniyor. Kapı önünde hediyelik eşya Cafe tarzı dükkanlar var esnaf ilgili ve alışveriş esnasında fiyatlarda yardımcı oluyorlar. Müze çalışanları müthiş derece de iyi niyetliler ilgililer. Müzeye yakın Hitit döneminden kalma baraj bulunmuş ve çevresine taşevler satış yerleri vs yapılmış ancak açılmamış atıl durumda beklemekte klasik Türk işi olmuş orası bir an evvel açılmalı ve turizme kazandırılmalıdır.

İçeriye girişler sabah 8'de başlıyor. Milli park statüsündedir. Müze kartımız olduğu için giriş ücreti ödemedik. Otopark sıkıntısı yok. Ulaşım kolay. Yolları güzel. Açık hava müzesi ve kapalı alan müzesi var. Kapalı yerde eski çağlara ait küçük eserler sergileniyor. Açık alanda da mimari yapılar ve mezar kalıntıları sergileniyor. Yeşil ve kısmı ağaçlıklı bir yer. Tarihe ve arkeolojiye meraklı olanlar için gezmesi keyifli. Serin bir havada gezmenizi tavsiye ederim. Wc mevcut. Köy içinde olduğu için cami ve market de mevcut. Hediyelik eşya dükkanı da var. Bir magnet 24 TL! Bilginiz olsun. Ayrıca burada gezerken köpekler rahat vermiyor. Saldırmıyorlar ama rahat da bırakmıyorlar. Çünkü her gelen misafirden birşeyler alıp yemeyi adet edinmişler. Sizden de bekliyorlar. Köpek korkusu olanlar için bilgi vereyim. Bunun dışında herhangi bir sorunla karşılaşmadım. Yakın bölgede iseniz ve yolunuz buralardan geçiyorsa görmeniz gereken müze ve açıkhava müzesi. Atatürk' ün de destek vererek bugünlere getirilen Alacahöyüğe sanki Göbeklitepe kadar değer verilmemiş gibi geldi bana. Üzeri kapatılsaydı mesela. Yağmurdan kardan kıştan korunsaydı. Bakımsız biraz, otlardan temizlense ve çimlendirilse görsel açıdan daha güzel olur. Kültürel miraslarımıza daha çok sahip çıkmamız gerekiyor. Yürüme yolları var. Araç park sıkıntısı yok. Giriş 20 Tl. 18 yaş altı ücretsiz.

Mutlaka görülmeli. Müzekartla girebilirsiniz. İnsanlığın nereden nereye geldiğini anlamanızı sağlayan değerli bir yer. Beş bin yıl öncesine götüren önemli bir tarihi hazine. Türkiye’de yaşayıp da orayı görmemek büyük kayıp olur. Ankara’ya çok yakın, yaklaşık 2,5 saatlik yol. Ankara’da oturanların bir hafta sonu görmesini tavsiye ediyorum. Küçük bir alan olduğu için yorucu da değil. Müzenin karşısında hediyelik eşya dükkanları var oradan hatıra alınabilir.

M.Ö 3500 ile 5000 yıllarına dayanan tarihi olan muhteşem bir yer. O dönemlerde yapılan odalar ve bazı figürler muazzam özellikte. Kazı çalışmaları da hala devam ediyor. Bazı odalar gün yüzüne çıkıyor. Hitit imparatorluğu döneminde olan bu yerde mabet sarayı, su kanalları ve şehrin girişinde bulunan iki dev anıt bulunuyor. Hemen yanında bulunan müzede ise kazıda bulunan eserler sergilenmektedir.
