The Alija Izetbegović Museum, dedicated to the life of Alija Izetbegović, the first president of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, hosts an exhibition chronicling Izetbegović's period and works from his youth to his death in 2003. Located in the old city castle area, in the settlement of Vratnik, the museum also houses an exhibition dedicated to Alija Izetbegović's role as commander-in-chief of the army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the resistance during the Bosnian War. The museum is open every day of the week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It's open from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. 00, and Saturday from 10 to 15. It's open from noon to 3:00. It's open between 12:00 and 12:00.
