The Adatepe Olive Oil Museum, located in the town of Küçükkuyu in the Ayvacık district, was opened in 2001 with the restoration of the soap factory. The museum, which has two floors and a large garden, is remarkable for its artifacts used in the manufacture of mangoes, stone mills, and olive oil. On the first floor of the museum, where you will find detailed information about the production of olive oil and olive-based soap, are the presses used to produce olive oil, the tools used to harvest olives, and the storage cubes. On the second floor, there is a soap boiler, a soap cutting and pouring table. There is also a shop selling fresh olives, olive oil and soap, which you should definitely buy before you leave.
