The national park, located in the Küre Mountains to the west of the Black Sea, is a plateau. The surface of the national park is 37,753 hectares, and the surrounding area is 134,366 hectares. There is no proper settlement within the park. Its western border, which begins at Bart's Creek, extends for a distance of 300 kilometers to Kızılırmak in the east. Otherwise known as the "Mountains of Isfandiyar", the Kure Mountains reach the Black Sea in the north and Gökırmak in the south. Within the mountains, there is a diversity of forests, streams, meadows and meadows, meadows, rocky areas and caves, coastline and traditional agricultural areas. The mountains with the highest length of the mountains that fall into the globe mountain class are the Wounded Eye Mountain, located between Devrekani and Abana, with a height of 2019 meters. Within the national park, there are natural forests, caves, canyons, waterfalls, geological features and wildlife that are more than enough to warrant national park status. Protected in 1998 by the World Conservation Union, the Globe Mountains were granted national park status in 2000. There are many things to explore, including various canyons and waterfalls.
