In the ancient city of Araphisar, China's Native Village, information can be traced back to the third century B.C.E. Information has been available for centuries. The ancient city, considered to be one of the most advanced in terms of entertainment, was known for its large number of women who played the organ. The name of the city is a combination of the words horse (ala) and race (banda). The historian Stephanos states that the city began to be called by this name after the Byzantine Prince Alabandos won a horse race. Archaeological work began in 1905 in the city, which was dominated by many civilizations, from ancient Rome to Byzantium. Since 1999, it has been under the protection of the Ministry of Culture.
