The tomb of Sheikh Sadreddin-i Konev
Sadreddin-i Konevî, one of the great mutasavvîs of Konya, died in 1210 (H. He was born in Malatya in 606. At a young age, he settled in Konya with his mother after the death of his father, Ishak Efendi, who was a respected and influential figure among the Anatolian Seljuks. On receiving a spiritual sign from the famous Sufi Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi, he came to Konya and married his mother, becoming his disciple. One of the founders of the Vahdet-i Vücûd school of thought, this great Sufi grew up receiving knowledge and faiz and educating himself by accompanying him on his travels. After the death of Muhyiddin ibn Arabi, Sheikh Evhadeddin benefited from the conversations of Kirman. He gained a reputation as one of the most important scholars and Sufis of his time, and by commenting on the books of Muhyiddin ibn Arabi, he made them accessible and understood by more people.
