The largest district of Adıyamanı, Kahta District, is home to many historical and cultural artifacts, primarily the Mount Nemrut National Park. The remains of many civilizations that lived on it have survived to the present day. It is possible to see traces of many empires, from the Kingdom of Commagene, founded before Christ, to the Roman Empire, from the Emevi to the Ottoman Empire. The Arsemia weaving mill is very famous because it is the oldest of these. Among the most visited places after Mount Nemrut are the Arsemia weaving site, the new and old castles, and the Karakuş Dome.
