Disappointing Stay at Wyndham Old City Hotel, Istanbul I recently stayed at the Wyndham Old City Hotel in Istanbul from December 2 to 5, 2023, and unfortunately, my experience was far below my expectations. My initial impression was marred by the room assigned to me, which was in a deplorable state. Trash accumulated in front of the window, immediately creating a negative atmosphere. Even more concerning was the condition of the bathroom, where the ceiling had clearly suffered damage, and water continuously dripped from the ceiling, pointing to serious maintenance issues. After we complained about these unacceptable conditions, we were given another room the next day. Although this room was in a better state, our stay was significantly disturbed by the noise from the building opposite. Sleep or rest became almost impossible. Additionally, our last hours at the hotel were disrupted by loud construction work. In the morning of our last day, construction work started at 08:00 AM throughout the second floor. The noises of drills and hammers were unbearable. Despite my complaint and the assurance that the work would be stopped, it continued for hours. The behavior of the staff, especially at the reception, was very disappointing. Instead of responding to our complaints with understanding and helpfulness, we encountered rudeness and a lack of customer focus. Overall, my stay at the Wyndham Old City Hotel was a very disappointing experience. The deficiencies in the rooms, the noise, and the staff's response turned my stay into an unpleasant memory. I cannot reccomend this hotel. Türkce 2-5 Aralık 2023 tarihleri arasında İstanbul'daki Wyndham Old City Hotel'de kaldım ve ne yazık ki deneyimim beklentilerimin çok altında kaldı. İlk izlenimim, bana tahsis edilen oda nedeniyle bozuldu. Oda, kötü bir durumdaydı. Pencerenin önünde birikmiş çöpler hemen olumsuz bir atmosfer yarattı. Daha da endişe verici olan ise banyonun durumuydu. Tavanın ciddi şekilde hasar gördüğü ve sürekli olarak tavanından su damladığı görülüyordu, bu da ciddi bakım eksikliklerine işaret ediyordu. Bu kabul edilemez koşullar hakkında şikayette bulunduktan sonra, ertesi gün bize başka bir oda verildi. Bu oda daha iyi durumdaydı, ancak karşı binadan gelen gürültü konaklamamızı önemli ölçüde etkiledi. Uyku veya dinlenme neredeyse imkansız hale geldi. Ek olarak, oteldeki son saatlerimiz yüksek sesle yapılan inşaat çalışmalarıyla bozuldu. Son gün sabahında saat 08:00'de ikinci kattaki tüm odalarda inşaat çalışmaları başladı. Özellikle resepsiyondaki personelin davranışı çok hayal kırıklığı yaratan bir durumdu. Şikayetlerimize anlayış ve yardımseverlikle yanıt vermek yerine, karşılaştığımız tutum kaba ve müşteri odaklı olmayan bir tavırdı. Genel olarak, Wyndham Old City Hotel'deki konaklamam çok hayal kırıklığı yaratan bir deneyim oldu. Odalardaki eksiklikler, gürültü ve personelin tepkisi, konaklamamı hoş olmayan bir anıya dönüştürdü. Ne yazık ki bu oteli tavsiye edemiyorum.

Cok güzel otantik bir mekan, hizmet güzel, beyazıta beş sultan Ahmet camisine on dakika yürüme mesafesinde, odalar dar ama eski yapı, olsun o kadar, Marmaray, metro tramvay, otobüs taksi, vapur hepsine yürüme mesafesinde ulaşım cok rahat, trafik yoğun bölgede ama, İstanbulda kaçınılmaz bu. Kahvaltı menüsü biraz daha çeşitli olursa daha iyi olabilir.
