The museum, which was built on the territory where our War of Liberation was fought and built in memory of this war, was opened to visitors on August 30, 1997 with a permit from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It has special museum status. The museum exhibits various weapons, swords, photographs, documents, tools and utensils belonging to the War of Liberation. Nearby is the Atatürk Headquarters House, which Atatürk used as his headquarters during the war.
