Skiing in the Palandöken

Located only 10 minutes from the city center of Erzurum, Palandöken has the distinction of being the place where the ski season lasts the longest in Turkey. With its proximity to the center, it offers the opportunity to easily see the historical sites and the center of the city. Palandökende, the oldest settlement in Eastern Anatolia, has many ski facilities, including Ski Hotels. The Palandöken Ski Center, one of the most important branches of ski tourism in our country, is covered with snow for 6 months of the year. It has a total of 22 tracks and the total length of these tracks is about 57 km. The Palandöken mountains, which were declared a Winter Tourism Center in 1993, are still one of the most important ski centers in the world today with their snow quality and long tracks. Palandöken is among the longest and steepest tracks in the world and is extremely suitable for Alpine discipline and snowboarding. In addition, skydiving is suitable for sports activities such as paintball.
