The Amasra Museum
The Amasra Museum, Amasra's first and only museum, first opened in 1955 in a small room of the town hall, and in 1969 it moved into the old elementary school building. In the following years, the Bolu skating rink was started by Ismail Kemal Bey and the half-finished Bahriye school was purchased by the ministry and completed and this completed building was opened as the Amasra Museum in 1982. The museum, which displays artifacts that shed light on the region's more than 3,000-year history, includes 2 archaeological, 2 ethnographic and 4 exhibition halls.
