Baktığınız her açıdan ayrı bir güzel, hangi yöne dönseniz nefis bir görüntüyle karşılaşıyorsunuz, giriş serbest ve bu bölgede kazılar devam ediyor sanırım bu yüzden tarihi eser açısından şimdilik pek birşey yok ancak zirveye çıktığınızda pişman olmayacaksınız. Burası için en önemli detay yanınıza içecek birşeyler alıp günbatımını izlemek, dolunayı yakalarsanız zirveden inmek istemezsiniz, Harika bir manzara

Onunde uygun bir otopark yeri mevcut degil. Bir isletme yok, istenilen saatte ziyaret edilebilir. Gunun erken saatlerinde ziyaret edilirse, onunde bir arabalik park yeri mevcut. Asagi dogru inen patikayi takip edince merdivenleri goruceksiniz. Bu merdivenlerden cikinca tepeye variyorsunuz. Tepede harika panoromik bir manzara var. Hem Amos sahil hem de Kumlubuk sahil goruluyor. Ayrica tiyatro kalintilari da orada. Girisinden tepeye ulasmak 5-10 dakikanizi aliyor. Bu manzarayi izlemek icin kesinlikle ziyaret etmelisiniz.

İçmeler'den sonra, Turunç içinden geçip ulaştığınız, tiyatro kalıntısı, surlar ve seyir terası ile göze hitap eden ancak tarihi eser olarak verimsiz bir yer. Gidecekseniz suyunuzu bol tutmakta fayda var. Ayakkabı seçiminizi de gözden geçirin derim. Zira yürüyüş alanı, terlik ve sandalete pek uygun değil. Uçurum kenarlarına da dikkat!!! Nefis manzarası gittiğiniz yola değecektir.

2021 Ağustos ayında oradaydım. Güzel manzarası ve fotojenik alanı ile hoş kareler yakalamanıza fırsat veriyor. Giriş ücreti yok, araç park alanı biraz yetersiz, biraz bakımsız. Daha yeni keşfedilmeye başlanan bir yer. Tarihi 5 bin yıl öncesine dayanan Amos Antik Kenti; Muğla’nın Marmaris İlçesi, Turunç Mahallesi Kumlubük Asarlık tepesinde iki koy arasında yer alıyor. Antik kentin stratejik bir noktada bulunmasının yanında, Rodos ile ticaret yapıldığı, bulunan yazıtlardan da Rodos ile Amos arasında kira sözleşmelerinin yer aldığı araştırmalarım sonucu ulaştığım bilgiler arasında. Bizim orada bulunduğumuz sırada bir arkeolog da oradaydı, ayak üzeri antik kent hakkında kısa sohbetimiz oldu. Arkeolojik yüzey araştırmaları başladığını, incelemeler yapılacağını anlattı. Ülkemizin dört bir yanında tarih yatıyor, umarım kıymeti bilinir ve sahip çıkılır.
