Erzurum'da gezilip görülmesi gereken yerlerden biri. Müze kartı geçerli. Yoksa da kişi başı ücret 15 TL(11.05.2022). İçeriyi 30-45 dk'da gezebilirsiniz. Wc ve mescit mevcut. Saat kulesi hariç tekerlekli sandalye için uygun. Kazı çalışmaları devam ediyor. Bol bol top güllesi çıkıyor. Saat kulesine döner merdivenden çıkılıyor. Yaşlı insanlar zorlanabilir. Teras kısmına çıkmak için ahşap dar bir merdiven var. Dikkatli olmak gerekir. Yukarı çıktığınızda manzara muazzam. Neredeyse merkezdeki tüm tarihi yapıları, dağları ve şehri görebilirsiniz. Birkaç görsel bırakıyorum. İlginiz varsa mutlaka tavsiye ederim.

Erzurum merkezde bulunuyor. Görülmesi gereken tarihi bir mekan. Ama üzücü olan taraf ülkemizdeki bunun gibi eserleri ziyaret esnasında ücret alınıyor. Biz tarihimizi görmek öğrenmek için neden ücret ödüyoruz burası bizim ülkemiz bizim dedelerimiz bizlere miras bırakmış mirasımızı görmek için bile ücret ödüyoruz. Çok yanlış bir uygulama bir an önce yetkililer bu gibi eserlerden ücret uygulamasını kaldırması lazım

İçerisinde farklı kültürlerden kalıntıların bulunduğu iç kale, saat kulesi, cami ve surlar ile çevrili bir Bizans dönemden Selçuklu modernizasyonu kalesi diyebiliriz. İçerde eski bir cami, saat kulesine çıkmak biraz meşakatli ama muhakkak çıkılıp şehir manzarası için değer. (Dip not:İçeri giriş ücretli olup müze kart geçerli.)

Erzurum'da Cumhuriyet caddesi üzerinde ulucaminin hemen karşısında buluna kale uzun bir restorasyondan sonra hizmete açılmış . Kaleyi ziyaret etmeyi unutmayın .Erzurum Kalesi'nin geçmişi yaklaşık 2 bin 500 yıl öncesine, bölgeye hakim olan Urartular'a kadar uzanmaktadır.Kale iç ve dış kale olmak üzere iki bölümden oluşuyormuşsada bugün sadece iç kale mevcut. Bugün varlığını koruyan iç kalenin ilk halini ise 415 yılında Bizans İmparatoru Theodosius inşa ettirmiş.Günümüzde dış kalenin surları büyük ölçüde yıkılmış
