The Castle of Whispers
Located in the district of Ispir, Ispir Castle is thought to have been built by the Ilhanids who ruled this region in the 12th century. It is believed to have been built by the Ilhanids, who ruled the region in the 11th century. Since no book has been found in the castle that has survived to the present day, no clear information about the date of construction has been obtained. The castle was renovated in the 16th century during the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. It was repaired during the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. The foundation of the castle was made of stones collected from the river Çoruh, while block-cutting stone was used in the construction of the upper walls. The minaret of the mosque inside the castle also served as the watchtower of the castle.
