The interior walls of the Apple Church are decorated with frescoes depicting the lifestyles of the local people, as well as scenes related to Christianity. Within the church, there are 3 different sections and 5 separate spaces. Some of these places were added at different times and different styles were used in their frescoes.
One of the most important features of the Apple Church is its apple-shaped reliefs, from which the church takes its name. These reliefs on the dome and some of the walls of the church are one of the features that distinguish the church from other Cappadocian churches.
The Apple Church, like other historic churches in Cappadocia, is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is one of the must-see places for tourists visiting Cappadocia.
