Tokali Church is a historic church located in the region of Cappadocia, near the county of Urgup. It is one of the churches with an important place in the Christian history of Cappadocia. The church was built in the 10th century and, like other historical churches in Cappadocia, is carved into tuff rocks. One of the most important features of the Church of the Tooth is the frescoes on its inner walls. The frescoes include scenes related to Christianity, depictions of saints, and symbols related to Christian beliefs. Within the church, there are 3 different sections and 12 separate spaces. Some of these places were added at different times and different styles were used in their frescoes.
Tokali Church, like other historical churches in Cappadocia, is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Tokali Church, a historically and culturally important building, is one of the must-see places for tourists visiting Cappadocia.
