More than 10,000 people were massacred, and the survivors were forced to flee their homes. The Holocaust Memorial and Museum, built as a tribute to the victims of this genocide, is 43.5 meters high. It is one of the tallest monuments in Turkey. The museum, which houses documents related to the genocide, was commissioned in 1999. The genocide monument symbolizes the Armenian attacks and is 36 meters high. It consists of five swords in height.
