The Liberty Monument is a memorial fountain built on the occasion of the proclamation of liberty. It is located between today's Public Education Center and Municipality buildings. In 1908, it was built by Tekfurdağı (Tekirdağ) Mutasarrıfı Adanalı Ömer Ali Bey under the name of Abide-i Hürriyet upon the proclamation of the 2nd Constitutional Monarchy.
